CORONA VIRUS UPDATE 3-22-2020 8:00 pm
Dr. Sacheen H. Mehta, Dr. Virendra C. Patel and all the staff at Comprehensive Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation want you to know that the health and safety of our patients is our utmost priority. We want to reach out and reassure you that rigorous infection control procedures are, of course, already a routine part of our practice. These practices help prevent the spread of illnesses such as the novel coronavirus.
In compliance with Dallas County's shelter in place order issued by Judge Clay Jenkins on Sunday, March 22, 2020, Comprehensive Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation remains open for essential doctor's appointments and essential physical therapy appointments requiring in-person services only. All other appointments will be conducted via telemedicine, either through video/audio or audio only connection. Telemedicine appointments will be conducted via FaceTime, Skype, or simple phone call.
For essential in-person appointments, we encourage patients to check in by phone from their car when they arrive. You may wait for your appointment in your car to avoid crowds in the waiting room. We will call your cell phone when we are ready to bring you to an exam room. We request that only the patient come into the exam room. Family members/friends should wait in the car. If absolutely necessary, one parent or guardian may accompany the patient.
Comprehensive Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation is practicing strict hand washing and frequent surface disinfection. We ask all our patients' cooperation in doing the same at home and while in our office.
As always, if you are showing any signs of illness such as fever, chills, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, chest tightness now or in the last 14 days, please call and reschedule your appointment. All cancellation fees will be waived. Our staff pledge to do the same.
In addition, if you have recently travelled overseas to any CDC-identified high risk country (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/after-travel-precautions.html), or have been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 (Corona Virus), please call and reschedule your appointment. All cancellation fees will be waived.
If you are healthy and symptom free for at least 14 days, we look forward to seeing you at your in-person appointment.
As the situation is rapidly changing and evolving, please check our website (comprehensiveortho.com) or our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ComprehensiveOrtho/) for updates.
Remember, we are all in this together and we need to take good care of each other. Thank you for your cooperation.
